Like most Christians, when I worked outside the home, I always wished for more time to study the Lord' words. Now, being retired, I have the privilege to spend the time reading his word, attending Bible studies, reading books from well known ministers and christian authors.
Being 80 years young, I do yearn to learn more about our Lord, and to draw closer to Him. Reading and studying His word, helps me to get to know Jesus more than I knew him before. I still have a long way to go. Maybe you feel that way too.
I am most grateful I have a wonderful family. My husband and I enjoy our girls and their husbands. Getting together for meals, celebrations and holidays is easier now since we moved closer to them.
Reconnecting with old friends is such fun. I do however, miss my friends where we lived before. Mary, my oldest friend, not in age, but in the number of years we have been friends lives not to far from me. We have been fortunate to get together several times a month for lunch. We have been friends for forty-nine years.
My blog God's Prayer Power and Special Grace Givenare two of my blogs. I concentrate on prayers and going deeper in the word to learn more on how to apply His word to our lives daily. The material is from the Bible, and personal experiences. I hope you will find tips that will help you too. Whatever struggles we have we can always take them to God and He will help us.
I hope you will feel free to share with me things you have learned in your relationship with our Lord. Sharing with each other what He reveals to us is such a blessing.
My books I wrote are based on my studies of God’s word, my own experiences and with the help of others. When I finish writing a book and reread it, I am always amazed at the words the Lord gave me to write. How do I know he gave me the words? Because when I reread what I wrote, I always find myself saying, "How did I know that? " Sometimes I will say, "I wrote that?" A dear writer friend says we are scribes when we write His words.
I invite you to communicate with me. I am always pleased to get your email (Susan Reichert). I will answer them. My prayer is we will get to know each other through God’s grace and sharing.
